This reminded me of Kenpachi and little Yachiru. There was a flashback in the bount arc where Yachiru was acting just like that baby and Kenpachi decided to give her a name and then adopted her and then he named himself Kenpachi.

He didnt actually return to being bad, he is in his senses. His want to fight his owner isnt provoked by Muramasa, but his own wish as a zanpakuto meant for reaping lives. Its his own wish to duel Hisagi here. And as Kurotsuchi mentioned previously, all he did was undo the brainwash, he didnt make it so to return the zanpakuto to their sword forms, as we can see others too, Wabisuke, Sodenoshirayuki, they can manifest and roam freely.
